I picked up a camera when I was 15 years old,
and haven’t put it down since. I practiced on my friends and family, and
developed a style that is mine and that continues to evolve everyday.
I took photography classes in High School that taught me the basics, and
then the New York Institute of Photography. Everything else has been
taught through trial and error. I hold no formal degree in photography and
because of that I have no rules that I follow. Nothing dictates how I do
things other than what looks good to me. I do attend seminars and
workshops to keep my skills sharp, to reach the next goal, and learn new
techniques.
My style is….well, it’s something that’s evolved over time. There’s really
no classification of it. I photograph what I feel. I take moments in time
that capture emotions, relationships and document details. I try to relax
people so that I can create real images. I photograph those special
events, as well as the just because moments. I see life through a view
finder.
